GRAFTON, MA - At around 2:15 p.m. on July 16, 2009 the Grafton Fire Department was called to 23 Leland Street for a reported structure fire. Arriving companies found a large, two and a half story house with an attached barn fully involved. Due to the lack of hydrants in the area, tankers from multiple nearby towns were called in to help. Upton's ladder was used in the front of the building due to Grafton's tower being out of service. A large tanker shuttle operation was set up to bring water to the scene. Eventually Millbury's hose truck was able to lay a line from a water source to the fire.
