6/23/08 - Milford firefighters arrived at 279 Main Street at 12:47 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2008, and found a 2.5 story, unoccupied wood frame home fully involved. First arriving companies immediately struck a second alarm due to the close proximity of exposures. The second alarm brought assistance from Hopedale, Hopkinton, Franklin, and Ashland. The large volume of fire resulted in the collapse and total loss of the building. Crews were able to prevent the spread of fire to the exposures. The house was undergoing major renovations because of a fire last year.
